Evy Dhaene focuses on advice and procedures relating to family law, family estate law and asset planning. She is specifically interested in the liquidation and partition of estates, in asset planning with respect to life insurance, in preferential donation and inheritance tax regimes for the transfer of family businesses and in the implementation of anti-abuse provisions.
Evy regularly publishes articles relating to these matters and is a frequent speaker at seminars on tax and property law. She was a guest teacher of matrimonial property and cohabitation law at the Brugge Business School for several years.
Evy has a master’s degree in law (University of Gent – magna cum laude) and is a member of the Bar of Gent.
She is also a member of the editorial staff of the journal Tijdschrift voor Regionale Fiscaliteit.
